STEP 6

Re-insert the canister back into the

head of the unit … screwing it back  into place by turning counter-clockwise  … and then use the key-wrench to tighten securing well

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGING FILTERS

· Before turning the water off fill a bucket with a few liters of clean water for rinsing the unit.

· Place a bucket or bowl underneath the Filter to receive any outpouring of water from the unit

· Shut off water INLET valve to the unit

STEP 1

Press the white button (or red) on

top (head) of the Filter Canister

(or for under the counter model open kitchen faucet cold water).  This is to release internal pressure in canister

STEP 2

Use the key wrench to

loosen up the canister

by turning clockwise …

then unscrew by hand

Removing  the canister

from its head

STEP 3

Remove the filter

(white plastic or sediment)

from the outer unit

STEP 4

Rinse the filter housing in

the bucket of clear water

that you prepared before

starting.

STEP 5

Install the new filter(s)  back inside the

larger outer (clear or blue) canister

Make sure that the large “O” ring is

well seated in the groove on top of

the canister ridges.  You can add a

light coating of Vaseline to keep it more

flexible and in place

STEP 7

NOW open the water INLET tap … Press on white button (or red) on top of the Canister head to let the air out (or open cold water tap for under the counter model)  Allow the water to run for a few minutes to rinse the unit and it is done

NOTE:  water could leak from top button until pressure is built up in the canister.  If so, shut off the cold water faucet for 15 seconds so that pressure will build up.   If still leaking, release water pressure in canister (by presssing the white or red button) and tighten more the canister using key wrench.  Never attempt to open or to seal tight the canister while it is under pressure … it would be useless.
