Hexahedron 999® Whole House Unit
Installation Instructions Model No. 0HX999-WH
We present 2 options for installation … a) Direct On-Line, or b) On A Parallel Line.
In either option we strongly suggest to have a union fitting upstream and downstream
… which is most practical for removing the unit if you choose to do when moving out
or for service. Both options have a valve installed upstream and downstream so as
to prevent draining the whole piping when servicing. Option b) requires more time
and piping for installation however it is the most practical option … which provided
mobility of the unit without requiring plumbing services and allows you to take the
Hexahedron 999® with you if you move to a new home or are going to the chalet for
a few weeks or more … it takes only a few minutes to remove and to re-install, simply
by loosening the unions on each end. The benefits that it brings to the body internally
and externally are worth the little effort. “Water is our most important nutrient
after air.”
You will need to obtain 2 Valves, 2 Unions and 2 Pipe Connectors prior to installation.
The Pipe Connectors will vary according to size (½”, ¾”) and type (copper or plastic)
of piping in your home … so make sure that you check this out before calling a plumber.
For plastic piping you will also need 4 clamps in the appropriate size. We suggest
that you use brass fittings where possible and make sure that all fittings are well
cleaned before installation … some plumbing fittings have a lubricating oil on them
which can get into your water system if not cleaned prior to installation
