Are the Hexahedron 999® Units NSF Certified ?
All of the wettable parts used in building the Hexahedron 999® Units are in Stainless Steel 304/304L, 316/316L.
Current acceptable materials in Annex C of NSF/ANSI Standard 61 : Drinking water
system components -
Stainless Steel Type 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 2205, 2203, 2101, 2304
Does this mean that products made from the above stainless materials are NSF Certified and can bear the NSF 61 Certification Mark? The answer to this question is given by NSF below:
“No, individual products are not allowed to bear the NSF Certification Mark unless the products are certified by NSF and appear in NSF Listings. However products that use these grades of stainless steel, that are accepted under Annex C of NSF 61, may not be required to undergo any additional testing to become certified by NSF.”
Accordingly, although the assembled Hexahedron 999® Units have not yet been NSF Certified ... All of the stainless steel materials used to build the Hexahedron 999® Units are NSF Certified and the Units may not be required to undergo any additional testing.
