How to Service the Hex-A-Softener

The Hex-A-Softner™ is in three main pieces

The Outside Housing

(clear hard plastic)

 

The Inside Housing

(soft white plastic)

 

4 High Density Magnesium Rods

(4 rods 99.8% pure magnesium held in stainless steel blades together with a programmed quartz crystal)

The Hex-A-Softner™ Unit must be cleaned every 4 to 8 weeks depending on the hardness of the water, the volume used, and the size of the unit.  Failure to clean the unit on a regular basis could result in damage to the magnesium rods.  Use the enclosed chart to monitor your cleaning schedule.

 

Before turning the water off fill a bucket with a few liters of clean water for rinsing the unit.

 

Place a bucket or bowl underneath the

Hex-A-Softener™ to receive any outpouring

of water from the unit

 

Shut off water INLET valve to the unit
